A mailbox damaged during snow removal will not <br />be authorized for repair unless .there is actual physical evidence it was struck by a City <br />snow removal vehicle. Residents are responsible for repairs to mailboxes that are <br />tipped or knocked over due to the weight of plowed snow. <br /> <br />The City prohibits encroachment on boulevards or right-of-ways by such items as <br />fences, ret. Cining walls, timbers, posts, landscaping, sprinkler systems, and rocks. <br />Any item &nmaged as a result of snow removal, including damage caused to snow <br />plowing equipment, will be the responsibility of the property owner. <br /> <br />Emergency Situations <br /> <br />The safety of residents is always a priority. <br /> <br />Requests for emergency service should be directed through 91 I. City Police will <br />contact snow removal personnel directly to coordinate plowing for an emergency <br />situation. <br /> <br />The City will remove snow fi.om around fire hydrants as t/me permits af-ter <br />.accumulatiOns become significant. Residents can help the Fire Department and <br />maintenanoe personnel by shoveling around a hydrant near their property. <br /> <br /> <br />
