I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #96-05-__ RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEME~IT PROJECT #96-11 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL THE SW QUARTER OF SECTION 22: PELTZER ADDITION, BEAUDRY'S 2ND ADDITION, AND UNPLATTED AREAS) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 4t/96-04-089 passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 23, 1996, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and c~. ck filling of the SW Quarter of Section 22: Peltzer Addition, Beaudry's 2nd Addition, and Unplatted Areas, and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for a~proval. NOW THEREFQRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such ~contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the COnstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The adveniserrient shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids vdill be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal !Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tal~ulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, lyne 11, 1996 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is question~ during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council ori the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and ~ed with the Cky Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified:check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) pement of the amount of such bid. The motion for the. adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of May, 1996.
