I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #96-05-__ RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMEN~F PROJECT #96-14 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL THE EAST HALF OF SEC~I'IONS 34 AND 35, SOUTH OF STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY #10) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution g96-04-092 passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 23, 1996, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoafing and chick filling of the East Half of Sections 34 and 35, South of State Trunk Highway gl0, and has presehted such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such Contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the malting of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at wtlich time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabhlated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, J!~ne 11, 1996 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned Iduring consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on :the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and fried with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified Check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the gdoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of May, 1996.
