APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g96-15 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL <br />AVENUE WEST OF ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD) <br /> <br /> AND <br /> FOR <br />161ST <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution g96-04-093 passed by the Ramsey City Council on <br />April 23, 1996, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the <br />sealcoating and crack filling of 161st Avenue West of Armstrong Boulevard and has presented <br />such contract docflments and specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such Contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Adminislrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvemont under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, <br />1996, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will <br />then be talmlated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, Jlane 11, 1996 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned,lduring consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the <br />Council on:the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond <br />or certified ~:heck payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such <br />bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the [adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 14th day of MaY, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
