Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-05- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT ALLOCATING $525 FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE MOBILE RADIO WHEREAS, the City crews currently utilizes City owned vehicles during the normal course of business; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the to provide communication devices in all City vehicles for the health, safety and welfare of City employees and citizens; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the total cost, including set-up and installation will be approximately $525; and WHEREAS, no funding was provided for in the Adopted 1996 Operating Budget for such a purchase; and WHEREAS, the City Council has the ability to provide funding for this purchase through a re-allocation of the Council Contingency within the Adopted 1996 Operating Budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $525 form the Council Contingency Fund for the purchase of one mobile radio. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: I I I I I I I i I I I I I whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of May, 1996.
