I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-05- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF EXCESS LAND; SUNWOOD DRIVE WHEREAS, at the meeting of April 23, 1996, Council introduced an ordinance to sell the remnant parcels severed from the balance of the Kurak property by the Sunwood Drive right- of-way; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed that the sale be advertised as a sealed bid sale; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Bid Law, a request for bids was advertised and one bid was received, as follows: Good Value Homes $12,500 AND WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996, Council adopted Ordinance g96-08 authorizing the sale of excess property; and WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996, Council awarded the bid for sale of the property to Good Value Homes and directed that a resolution stating same be drafted for adoption at the May 28, 1996 City Council meeting. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby ratifys the Council action taken on May 14, 1996, which awards the bid for the sale of excess property (approximately 1.25 acres parcel) to Good Value Homes for the amount of $12,500. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of May, 1996.
