IlO Mayor Hardin agreed that 25% for the Life Cycle goal may be unrealistic but felt we should be saying to the Metropolitan Council that we are willing to work with them. Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution 4/95-12-278 - Metropolitan Livable Communities Housing Goals Agreement and that the goals for the Life-Cycle non-single family be changed to 10% and the owner/renter mix be changed to 75/25. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #12: Commission Re-appointments and Vacancies Finance Officer Hart explained that the terms of various commission members expire before the end of the year and there are several recommendations for filling those vacancies. Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to re- appoint Judy Marn to the Charter Commission for a term to expire on May 12, 1999. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to re- appoint Jay Swokowski to the Charter Commission for a term to expire on May 12, 1999. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Motion by Councitmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to direct staff to re-advert/se for the vacancies on the Charter Commission. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Ms. Hart explained that the Economic Development Commission was able to interview only one of the candidates, therefore, they are postponing any recommendation to fi/1 their vacancies until the January meeting. She also explained that due to not re-appointing a commissioner on the Park and Recreation Commission, there should be authorzafion to advertise to fill that. Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to direct staff to advertise for the vacancy on the Park and Recreation Commission. Motion carried: Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Ms. Hart then explained that the terms of Planning Commissioners Terry Hendriksen, Paul Holland and Michael Terry all expire on December 31, 1995. Paul Holland has declined re-appointment which will create a vacancy on the Commission. The Planning Commission has recommended that the City Council re-appoint Mr. Hendriksen and Mr. Terry to a term to expire on December 31, 1997. tt was also the desire of the Commission to advertise to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Holland.
