Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Busin%s <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />No Council action was necessary. This will be brought back to the April 23, 1996 meeting. <br /> <br />Case #4 - 18: <br /> <br />1996 Annual Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jangowski stated that the City performed its first sealcoating work in 1981 and has <br />had an annual program for addressing the routine maintenance needs of its paved streets since that <br />time. The City has a considerable investment in the nearly 125 miles of paved roadway for which <br />it is responsible. ~It is estimated that the replacement cost, excluding curb, gutter, drainage, and <br />turf restoration approaches $10 million. He summarized the City's goal of reapplying a sealcoat to <br />any new pavemextt or overlay after a period of five years and to reseal or overlay as needed at <br />seven-year succ~g intervals. This year's program consists entirely of crack filling, followed <br />by sealcoating, o~ over 20 miles of streets. The 1996 program consists of 15 individual projects <br />which have similar lot sizes and pavement conditions. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin adj. oumed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:40 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the publie hearings. <br /> <br />Public Hearing, <br /> <br />g96-01: Windsorwood Addition <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jarlkowski explained that this is a relatively new area and has never been sealed. <br />The first seal is scheduled after five years and then seven years thereafter. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
