I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Case //9: T.It. #47 Corridor Study

City Engineer Jardqowski explained that for the last several months the City has been working with
consultants, MnDOT, and the Anoka County Highway Department on a study of a section of T.H.
~47. Several infor[national meetings have been held which generated comments and concerns over
the development of this section of T.H. g47. A public hearing was held before City Council at
their last meeting. The intent is for this plan to be incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan for
reference when attaining site plan approval of property adjacent to this corridor. He outlined the
two important issues (1) access along the corridor, and (2) buy-out of properties north of 149th
Avenue. Mr. Jankowski suggested the Planning Commission take some time to review the study,
stressing the need io adopt some type of study to avoid this highway looking like the north side of
Highway #10.

Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Jensen to bring the T.H. #47
Corridor Study back to the Planning Commission's May meeting for their comments.

Motion carried.
