ADDITION TO CASE #14 PET CLINIC BID Further Background: I received one bid for the pet clinic and that was from AMVEF of Elk River. AMVET bid the prices the same ~s last year. They were awarded the bid last year and conducted a very well- organized clinic,plus Dr. Gflgenbach and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Staff is planning fo add a small fee to the bid prices as we have done in the past couple of years to help defray som~of the administrative costs. Last year the bid prices for the vaccinations were $3 for rabies, $9 for~DHLP-P and $6 for Pan RC-C-P. With the City tacking on a small fee, the shots were $5, $10 an_{t $8. I contacted the Cities of Andover, Anoka, Elk River and Ham Lake to inquire about their pet clinic prices. They are as follows: Anoka: $6.50 for rabies, $12,50 for DHLP-P and $7.~0 for Pan RC-C-P; Elk River: $8 for rabies, $8 for DHLP-P and $8 for Pan RC-C-P; Ham Lake: $5 for rabies, $10 for DHLP-P and $10 for Pan RC-C-P; Andover is not hosting a pet clinic this year. Staffis recommending adding $3 to the rabies vaccination, making it $6, $1 to the DHLP-P, for a total of $10 and Sg to the Pan RC-C-P making that vaccination $8. The only difference from last year would be th8 cost of the rabies shot. At $6 for the rabies vaccination, Ramsey would still be cheaper than Ano~ka by 50¢ and Elk River by $2, but would be higher than Ham Lake by $1. The fee we would cha~ge for the DHLP-P would be $2.50 less than Anoka, $2 higher than Elk River and the same as .,I-lgm Lake. The proposed fee for the Pan RC-C-P would be the 50¢ higher than Anoka, the same as Elk River and $2 less than Ham Lake. Council Action: Motion that Council approve the suggested rotes.
