What aspects of the commission appointment process should be consistent for all <br />commission~? <br /> <br />All applicants treated the same. No preferential treatment. Applicant selected should be <br />active in some type of community event/function. Should not have an ax to grind. <br />Use same interviewing/appointment process for all commissions unless charter dictates <br />otherwise. <br />All commisaions should use same system. HR doesn't have to be personally involved, <br />but should assist with questions and outline the procedure to be followed. <br />Process shoald be consistent for all commissions. <br /> <br />5. Do they attend commission meetings as citizens? <br />Prior knowlbdge is not as important as a willingness to learn, professional demeanor, <br />being respe6tful and polite, being cool headed, willing to speak up, ability to disagree and <br />stay friendsl Also need to consider how this person adds to the current mix on the <br />commission, <br />Long range vision. Commissions should have diverse interests represented. <br /> <br />7. Should People be able to serve simultaneously on more than one commission? <br /> <br />Probably not a good idea. <br />As a general[ rule, no.
