I <br />I <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Pla!ming Commission conducted a public hearing on Monday, March 4, 1996 at the <br />Ramsey Municil:lal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for an amendment to conditional use permit; case of Alloy Recovery Company. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Adminisla'ator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:59 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Alloy Recovery established an aluminum processing <br />facility at 7060 l[42nd Avenue N.W. by a conditional use permit (CUP) issued by the City in <br />1991. They hav, now applied for a CUP to enlarge the facility with a 9,000 square foot addition <br />to the principal bhilding on the site in order to get more of the operation indoors. The existing <br />facility consists Of a 2,100 square foot operations building and a 1,920 square foot structure in <br />which the melt furnace is housed. The applicant proposes to increase the size of the principal <br />building to 11,100 square feet. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. ;Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Deemer, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud.
