c. Notification to applicants <br /> <br /> After the City Council has acted on the recommendation of the evaluation panel, <br /> the Administrative Services Manager will notify all applicants of the results of the <br /> process. <br /> <br />Term limits <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Members of City boards and commissions can serve a total of three consecutive <br />two-year terms of office. Former members who have served three consecutive <br />terms of office may reapply, following the normal application process, after a <br />minimum absence of one term of office. <br /> <br />5. Reapplication process <br /> <br />a) Letter of intent <br /> <br />Members of City boards and commissions who wish to serve a second or third <br />consecutive term of office must notify the City Council of their intent at least two <br />months before the expiration of the current term of office. The Administrative <br />Services Manager will notify commission members three months in advance of <br />the expiration of their terms and invite them to complete and submit a <br />questionnaire for review by the evaluation panel. <br /> <br />The evaluation panel may request additional information and/or an interview with <br />the commissioner or board member before making a recommendation to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />The Administrative Services Manager will notify the commissioner or board <br />member of the City Council's decision and the rationale for the decision. The <br />chair of the applicable commission or board, as a member of the evaluation panel, <br />will notify the board or commission of the City Council's decision and the <br />rationale for the decision. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />If the commissioner or board member does not request reappointment, or if City <br />Council chooses not to reappoint, the expected vacancy will be advertised and the <br />normal application/appointment process followed. <br /> <br />6. Stipends for members of City boards and commissions <br /> <br />a) Amount established by City Council resolution <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Effective July I, 1996, members of all City boards and commissions are eligible <br />for stipends to cover expenses for meetings actually attended. The amount of the <br />stipends is established by City Council resolution and subject to change as <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
