Ms. Waite Smith expressed a concern about getting back to the Committee in 30 days relating to this issue but felt she could in 60 days. She inquired if she should share this report with commissions now. She would stamp it draft and summarize what was discussed and what Council had concerns about. She would add that Council has not yet made a recommendation and that they want more information prior to making a decision. Councilmember Beyer complimented Ms. Waite Smith on the work that went into this report. Ms. Waite Smith credited the quick response from other cities. COMMITTEE INPUT 1) Schedule Special Meeting Councilmember Beyer stated that Ms. Waite Smith has asked that we have a special Personnel Committee meeting for the purpose of recommending we hire a transcription person for the Police Department. Ms. Waite Smith reported that she has had seven final applicants for the Police Department Transcriptionist and there have been only four total applicants for the part-time recording secretary. The special meeting will be to authorize staff to proceed with the Police Transcription person. She added that she would also have an update on that meeting for the labor negotiations. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Be'then and Beyer. Voting No: None.
