By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik Background: Earlier this summer, Johnson Holdings, Inc. received site plan approval to construct and operate a bank on the former public works site. Johnson Holdings has submitted an application for an interim use permit to utilize a 14' x 60' modular office structure at 14150 St. Francis l~llvd. N.W. The temporary structure would be used for the conduct of bank business while the permanent structure is under construction. The following a) items are enclosed for your information: d) e) Site location map Site plan Draft Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated August 6, 1996 Proposed findings of fact Proposed interim use permit Notification: In accordanc~ with State law, properties within 350 feet of the subject property were notified of the public hearing conducted by the Planning Commission. Observations: Because of numerous requests from residents and local businesses, Johnson Holdings is requesting the fuse of a modular office structure for a 4 to 6 month period in order to begin business operations on the site while their permanent building is under consmmtion. The City has previgusly granted permits for temporary office structures in the commercial and industrial areaS for limited periods of time to accommodate the particular needs of the business. At the public hearing on August 6, comments were submitted to the Planning Commission that granting stlch a permit would give the Landmark Bank an unfair business advantage over the new b~mk on the east side of T.H. 4/47.
