Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT TO PURCHASE FIRE DEPARTMENT LOCK BOXES FOR RESALE TO LOCAL BUSINESSES WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of June 12, 1996, the Board agreed to the concept of providing fire lock boxes to local businesses; and WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of August 27, 1996, staff presented a request for the purchase of 10 fire department lock boxes for resale to local businesses; and WHEREAS, the purchase and resale of these lock boxes was not originally authorized in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, it has been determined through written quotations that Metro Fire out of Wyoming, Minnesota, can provide the fire lock boxes for $102.00 each; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that these lock boxes can be sold to local businesses for a cost orS117.30 plus tax. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA cOUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: i) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing Fire Department Supplies for Resale by $1,020.00 for the initial purchase of 10 lock boxes from Metro Fire out of Wyoming, Minnesota. 2) That the Ramsey City Councii hereby establishes a sales price of the fire department lock boxes at $117.30 plus sales tax and directs the Finance Officer to add this fee to the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing 1996 General Fund Revenues by $1,173.00 for the resale of 10 fire department lock boxes. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: ! !
