I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember? introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF EMERGENCYi MEDICAL SERVICES COUNCIL GRANT AND PURCHASE OF AUTOMATIC;DEFIBRILLATOR DEVICE AND TRAINING FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMEN~i' WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of August 27, 1996, staff presented a request for the acceptance of an EMS Council Grant for the purchase of an automatic defibrillator device and training for the Police Department; and WHEREAS, the receipt of the grant and related expenditures were not originally authorized in the .1996 Adopted General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the grant covers all costs associated with the initial purchase and training as well as the reqpired first year replacement funding; and WHEREAS, the automatic defibrillator device can be supplied by EMP of Minneapolis, Minnesota for a total cost of $3,384.86; and WHEREAS, the training for use of the automatic defibrillator device will be provided by the City of AnOka for a total cost of $210.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing Police Department Capital Outlay by $3,384.86; Training by $210.00; and Transfers to Other Funds by $338.49. 2) That the Rarnsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing 1996 General Fut~d Revenues by $3,933.35 for acceptance of the EMS Council grant. 3) 4) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of an automatic defibrillator device from EMP of Minneapolis, Mirmesota, for a cost of $3,384.86. That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes scheduling of training for the use of the automatic defibrillator device through the City of Anoka at a cost of $210.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember upon vote b~ing taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
