To The Council Members of The City of Ramsey 8~27~96 My Name is Catherine Dickensort and my family owns the property located on Sunfish takelBvld next to Mate Precision Tooling that the council voted at the last meeting to initiate condemnation proceedings against. Sit, ce this proceeding has come to our attention~ we have been talking with Ryan Schoreder regarding this issue, however we felt that We should get ou~ position on record before you. We haVe been a member of the Ramsey Business Community for over 20 years. Our property, there has provided a good living for my family as well as several other families who ~re also residents of Ramsey, Our business consists of the buying,, selling, repairing and ~torago of many types of equipment and vehicles as well as other projects, We had no idea that there was this controversy regarding our property; We do have a sign mit front that says "Propen"y For sale With Lease Back" in.an attempt to find some financing however we had no immediate plans to relocate. We did also speak with Mr. Jack Schneider from Mate aprox 6 months ago to make him aware that we were imerested in exploring the possibility of a sale but we never heard back from him, We also received a few calls from Kent Carlson regarding the property but he did not represent him{elf as having anything to do with Mate or the city and we did not take him as a serious buyer. The point being, we were completely caught offgaurd when we saw the playback ({f the last council meeting and discovered that this action had been taken as we had received no notice from the city that we were on the agenda. Since .that time I have had several conversations with the parties involved being Mate, Ryar~ Cbmpanies and with Ryan Schroedet to assure everyone that it is not our intention to hold up this project. We do want to be cooperative and we only ask that we be treated fairly. However, we have no desire to spend any money or to go into debt in order to accomplish this. I did meet with Mr. Schroedor on Monday to ask some questions such as could we relocate to ia property belonging to my family or~ Highway 107 Are there any other properties available in Ramsey that would be suitable to our needs or do we need to look elsewhere? ~r. Schroeder is currently in the process of researching those answers for us and in fact did phone today with some information. To sum!this all up, we simply wanted to let you all 'know that we are attempting to cooperate width you and with Mate. As soon as we can get the answers as to what it is going to entail for us to be able to move, we will be more than happy to begin negotiations.
