I I I I I I I I I I i I i I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08- RESOLUTION~ APPROVING CONTRACT WITH ANOKA DISTRICT #1[1 TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES OF A D.A.R.E. OFFICER WHEREAS, the Anoka Hennepin School District has requested the services of a Ramsey Police Officer to ~rovide Drug Awareness and Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) services to the Ramsey Elementary School for the 1996-97 school year;, and WHEREAS, the Anoka Hennepin School District has offered to pay the City $1,287 for the services of a D.A.R.E. Officer during the 1996-97 school year;, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to work with the school disu-ict to provide drug awareness and resistance education. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the C-Sty Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a contractwith Anoka Hennepin School District to provide D.A.R.E. services during the 1996-97 school year, at a cost of $1,287. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon Vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, ~996 HENNEPIN SCHOOL CITY OF RAMSEY Mayor ATTEST: City Administrator
