I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-08-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO DAFFINSON ASPHALT <br />MAINTENANCE FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #96-01 THROUGH #96-05 <br />AND #96-07 THROUGH #96-15 (1996 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br />DIVISION A -~CRACK FILLING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions #96-04-080 through #96-04-093 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on April 23, 1996, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions #96-05-101 through #96-05-114 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on 'May 14, 1996, approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the <br />advertisement for bids for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 11, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-06-148 <br />awarding the bid to Daffinson Asphalt Maintenance for the 1996 Street Maintenance Program - <br />Division A- Crack:Filling (Improvement Projects #96-01 through #96-05 and #96-07 through #96- <br />15); and <br /> <br /> WltEREA~S, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Daffinson Asphalt Maintenance in the amount of $37,931.22. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the CitY Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Daff'mson Asphalt Maintenance for <br />the 1996 Street Maintenance Program - Division A- Crack Filling (Improvement Projects #96- <br />01 through//96-05 and #96-07 through/196-15) in the amount of $37,931.22. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br /> Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of August, 1996. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember . <br />__ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 27th day of August, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
