I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-09-~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION <br />OF PROPOSED ~ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-15 (SEALCOAT <br />AND CRACK FILL 161ST AVENUE WEST OF ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ a contract has been let and costs have been determined with reference to the sealcoating <br />and crack filling of l~ilst Avenue West of Armstrong Boulevard, and the expenses incurred or to be incurred <br />in the making of sucl~ improvement amount to $6,806 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $6,806. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOK~A COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the portipn of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the City of Ramsey is hereby declared <br />to be $5,174 a~d the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to <br />be $1,632. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the princIpal of the assessments shall be in annual installments extending over a period of three <br />(3) years; the first of the installments to be payable with property taxes payable in 1997 and shall bear <br />interest, per adnum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution, at the rote of two (2) <br />percent above the U.S. Treasury Rate. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City:Administrator shall calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such <br />knprovement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district aff~ied, without <br />regard to cash 9aluation, as provided by law, and shall file in the city offices a copy of ghch proposed <br />assessment for public inspection. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />Ramsey City Council thereof. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoPtion of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following were ~absent: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day <br />of September, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />C/ty Administrator <br /> <br />iq3 <br /> <br /> <br />
