I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL <br /> By: Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the August 13 Council meeting, we scheduled the City Administrator's performance appraisal <br />for September 9, 1996. Per the request of the Council, I distributed performance appraisal forms <br />to the Mayor and Councilmembers and to department heads including the Police Chief, Fire <br />Chief, Finance Officer, City Engineer and Administrative Services Manager. I transferred the <br />information on the completed forms onto a single form, copies of which were sent to the Mayor <br />and Councilmembers under separate cover with the Council agenda. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />After Councilmembers have reviewed the performance appraisal results and discussed their <br />significance, it would seem appropriate to: <br />1) Identify developmental goals for the next appraisal period; and <br />2) Determine a timetable to negotiate a new contract with the City Administrator. .,. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Based on discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />PC 09/09/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
