I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />,I <br /> I <br /> <br /> Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #96-09-__ <br /> RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSME.~ <br /> IMPROVEMENT iPROJECT ~)5-17 (EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND <br /> AND STREET IIVI~PROVEMENTS TO RIVER'S BEND 4TH ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,:by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 9, 1996, the City Ad, <br /> was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the extension of sanitary sewer and water <br /> improvement to River~'s Bend 4th Addition (Improvement Project ~)5-17); and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS,i the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such Proposed asse.% <br /> been completed and fi~led in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI <br /> RAMSEY, ANOK)~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That a public ~aring shall be held on October 8, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal <br /> pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place ail persons owning property <br /> such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) That the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br /> assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the heari] <br /> shall state in th~ notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailed notice to ~- <br /> the owner of e~h parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hc~ <br /> <br />3) That the owner, of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessm~ <br /> County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the <br /> payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid withi <br /> from the adopt{on of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City <br /> amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year <br /> such payment i~ made.
