I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #96-09-__ <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION <br />OF PROPOSED i ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-18 ((EXTENSION <br />AND CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN TO RIVER/47 <br />PLAZA ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a contract has been let and costs have been determined with reference to the extension <br />and construction of.~anitary sewer and watermain to River/47 Plaza Addition, and the expenses incurred or to <br />be incurred in the mhking of such improvement amount to $I32,477 so that the total cost of the improvement <br />will be $132,477. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY coUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the poffion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the City of Ramsey Sewer and Water <br />Utilities is hereby declared to be $0 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited <br />property owrlers is declared to be $152,938. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the prinoipal of the assessments shall be in annual installments extending over a period of five (5) <br />years; the fir~,t of the installments to be payable with property taxes payable in 1997 and shall bear <br />interest, per 0nnum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution, at the rate of two <br />percent abov0 the U.S. Treasury Rate. . <br /> <br />That the cit~ Administrator shall calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such <br />improvement !~gainst every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without <br />regard to cash/valuation, as provided by law, and shall file in the city offices a copy of such proposed <br />assessment for public inspection. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City !Administrator shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />Ramsey City Council thereof. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being t~' en thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day <br />of September, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
