I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #96-09-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION <br />OF PROPOSED ,I~SSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~)5-19 (EXTENSION OF <br />SANITARY SEWJER AND WATER TO THE DEAL INDUSTRIAL PARK) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ a contract has been let and costs have been determined with reference to the extension <br />of sanitary sewer an~l water to the Deal Industrial Park and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the <br />making of such improvement mount to $148,645 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $148,645. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOK[A COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the portiPn of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the City of Ramsey Sewer and Water <br />Utilities is hereby declared to be $42,057 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited <br />property owners is declared to be $157,740. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the principal of the assessments shall be in annual installments extending over a period of five (5) <br />years; the first of the installments to be payable with property taxes payable in 1997 and shall bear <br />interest, per annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution, at the rate of two <br />percent aboveJ the U.S. Treasury Rate. <br /> <br />That the City( Administrator shall calculate the proper amount to be specially asses. Ced for such <br />improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without <br />regard to cash~valuafion, as provided by law, and shall file in the city offices a copy of such proposed <br />assessment fot public inspection. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City ~Administrator shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />Ramsey City Council thereof. <br /> <br />The motion for the adgption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being t,~. en thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day <br />of September, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
