I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #96-09-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT !PROJECT ~)5-19 (EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND WATER TO <br />THE DEAL INDUSTRIAL PARK) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,!by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 9, 1996, the City Administrator <br />was directed to prepale a proposed assessment of the cost of sanitary sewer and water improvements to the Deal <br />Industrial Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has <br />been completed and filed ~n h~s office for pubhc mspectaon. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That a public hearing shall be held on October 8, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, to <br />pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by <br />such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the proposed <br />assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he <br />shall state in He notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailed notice to be given to <br />the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />That the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment by the <br />County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the date of <br />payment to the[City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days <br />from the adopOon of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire <br />amount of the ~sessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which <br />such payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15 or interest will be charged <br />through December 31 of the succeeding year. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following were :absent: <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of <br />September, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
