I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br /> i <br /> I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />AW4~RD CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~96-23 <br />McKI/NLEY STREET TO COMMERCIAL ASPHALT PROPERTY <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project ~96-23 involves the construction of approximately 1,400 feet of roadway <br />which will exten~l McKinley Street to the eastern property line of commercial asphalt, and also <br />include the construction of approximately 200 feet of Azurite Street north of McKinley. The work <br />vail also revolve, rmnor amounts of sewer and water to prowde sermce to the properties the <br />roadway will serVice. This project will provide access and municipal service to the proposed <br />Sauter office building and shop facility as well as a vacant City-owned parcel northwest of the <br />Listul developmont. The City Council ordered bids on August 13, 1996. Bids were opened on <br />Friday, September 6, 1996. Nme contractors submitted bids with the lowest three proposers <br />within four percelnt of one another.
