I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I i I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-09- RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO SHARP AND ASSOCIATES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE OFFICE BUILDING WHEREAS, on February 13, 1996, Council authorized staff to request bids on the Police Office building project; and WHEREAS, on March 12, 1996, Council authorized staff to provide for an extension of Municipal Services to the project site; and WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, Council authorized $600,000 toward the hard construction costs Of the police office building; and WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, by Resolution g96-04-078, Council awarded a bid for the project to Sharp Construction in an amount not to exceed $588,396; and WHEREAS, the contractor has provided a sworn construction statement in the amount of $576,181; and WHEREAS, City Administrator Ryan Schroeder has inspected the completed work and recommends parti~l payment to Sharp and Associates in the amount of $240,167.16 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Sharp and Associates for said project in the amount of $240,167.16. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts this portion of the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for th6 month of September, 1996 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of September, 1996.
