Commissioner Droegemueller suggested taking the City Council on a tour for comment and discussion. ParLcq/Utilities Supervisor Boos recommended that the Park and Recreation Commission invite the City Council on a tour at their convenience. Commissioner Droegemueller left at 7:20 p.m. Commissioner Ostrum recommended sending invitations for a tour with lunch, Vice Chair Johns explained that the tour should be held in September. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that at the next meeting he will pass out invitations. Commissioner Asfahl recommended the tour be held at their next Park and Recreation Commission meeting. Vice Chair Johns explained that depended on the Park and Recreation Commission agenda. Commissioner Ostrum stated that the tour should be a social event, separate from the meeting. Parks/Utilities Supervisor explained that he would invite the City Council at their meeting on Tuesday. ! I COMMISSION INPUT Mr. Osbourn asked if there were any plans regarding the condition of the ground cover at Solstice Park. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that they will be reseeding, and fertilizing this Fall. He added that they had aerated yesterday. I I ! I I I I I '1 I Mr. Osboum exp!ained he was served title summons from the resident behind him. He asked if there are any plans for Ghat property. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that any plan would come before the Park atld Recreation Commission. He added that he did not foresee the Scotch Pines being removed. Mr. Osboum stat~ he would like to see more park and a ballfield. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that there may be space for a basketball court. He stated that he would look into the financing for a blacktop pad for basketball after the other items were completed. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos informed the Park and Recreation Commission of park improvements status at this time. Commissioner Asfahl stated that she has be experiencing problems regarding residents mowing City property. Commissioner LaMere expressed concern regarding curb cuts and access to the parks and trails. Parks/Utilities SuPervisor Boos explained that there is no development now without curb cuts. Motion by commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to direct Staffto place curb cuts in Solstice Park and the trail by Commissioner LaMere's house. Motion carried. VOting Yes: Vice Chair Johns, Commissioners Ostrum, LaMere, Asfahl, and Johns. Voting No: Nond. Absent: Chairperson Cook and Commissioner Droegemueller.
