Mr. Wagner voiced the concern that the items wouldibecome clutter and lost in the shuffle of moving. He further suggested that maybe a wood plaque to l~he business and an on-going plaque for the City, similar to the Business Hall of Fame, could be developed for each year. The EDC directed Mr. Gromberg develop some additional ideas as to the use of a plaque for each event. Mr. Gromberg ir!dicated that he would talk to the promotion people to obtain cost information for the plaques. Case #3: Development of a W.E.B. Site Economic DevelOpment Coordinator Gromberg explained that the City has been approached by different organizations as to the possibility of developing a home page on the internet. The development of this "site" would allow the City the opportunity to provide information to a wider variety of individuals. These people coUld then have access to information about the City and, in particular, about the "instant equity" program,i The site would not be interactive and would contain only information that would remain constant for long periods of time. The page could be designed by a student group at St. Cloud State University Iwhich would result in no development costs. Changes in the page could then be completed either ~at St. Cloud State University or at any site with internet access and the correct software. Commissioner Ulien asked if this was something a lot of people would take advantage of and if people used the internet from their homes at this point. Chairperson Wagner responded that he was using the internet and suggested it is becoming more and more common with the advance of computer hardware. Commissioner R°ff asked about the type of information that would be provided and if it would be similar to the information that was on the examples of the other communities. Mr. Gromberg replied that it would be similar for the most part without the agendas of the meetings, as these would need to be updated in a much more timely manner. Motion by Chairperson Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Kent to have the City develop a home page for the City Of Ramsey and that the City review the development of a site on the internet and a resulting address for that site. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Roll, Ullen and Kent. Voting No: None. Absent: Cc~mmissioners Rohrer, Stafki and Nelson. STAFF UPDATES A) Meeting SChedule - Mr. Gromberg discussed the fact that he would have a class that meets on Thursday evenings during the fall. He requested that the EDC review their schedules to determine if another meeting time would be more convenient. Commissioner Kent asked what evenings d6 not have any meetings and Mr. Gromberg replied that Tuesdays and Thursdays are generally tlie only evenings with regularly scheduled meetings.
