I I I I I I I September marks the start of school and Tronson hopes to be working with local educators to get new access users and student interns. Tronson is also hoping that another "Video Club" will emerge from the high schools. SPORTS PROGRAMMING Bruce Chaffee's main job at QCTV-15 is promoting local area athletes in competition through the medium of cable TV. This year conference alignment for our area high schools was redistricted which will mean more traveling from the production crew. "Breakfast with the Coaches" will begin its seventh season on QCTV-15 A:Ugus't 31th. Bruce Frank will once again be recapping all the action with local coaches and athletes. GOVERNMENT PROGRAMMING The playback decks for the City Halls have arrived and installation is underway. Kevin Scattum increased the playback capability of our systems by adding one new playback deck. This will permit pre- program playback of additional programs and also serve it up when the scheduled times come rather than rely on someone changing out tapes. The playback automating system, the Leighton_ix Mini-T Pro, is capable of directing up to two more decks if the need and support arises for this. Scattum and his production crew are looking forward to a busy September production schedule. Several programs for Anoka, Ramsey and Andover have already been scheduled. i I OLD BUSINESS - 4 4.1 QCTV-15 PROPOSED BUDGET The 1997 proposed budget was accepted with two changes to be added. · Mobile Van Equipment budgeted amount be decreased from $10,000 to $7,000. · A/V Equipment Purchases budgeted amount be decreased from $35,000 to $30,000. These changes would, according to the budget, leave QCTV at the end of 1997 with a Current Surplus (Deficit) of $3,951.00.
