I I I I I I I I I i I I I I I I I I ROAD AND BRIDGE COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 1996, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Councilmember Shelia Beyer Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Also Present: City Administrator Ryan Schroeder City Engineer Steve Jankowski Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith CALL TO oRDER Councilmember Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Road and Bridge Committee to order at 5:32 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT None COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case#l: Consider RFP for MnDOT Local Initiative Application for T.H. //47 Improvement Project City Engineer Jankowski advised that Dennis Eyler, SRF, Consulting Group, Inc., had indicated he would be present :for discussion on this item. Since Mr. Eyler was not yet present, consensus was reached to next discuss Case #4 and then return to Case/ti upon his arrival. Case #4: Discussion of Process for Reviewing Traffic Control Requests City Engineer Jaqkowski explained this matter was placed on the agenda to begin discussion. He explained that Ramsey frequently obtains requests for traffic control measures and, in the past, these requests have been directed to Public Works or the Police Department. City Engineer Jankowski stated he is unsure how involved the Council has been or whether they were aware of the receipt of these requests or action taken. He requested input from the Road and Bridge Committee regarding Road and Bridge Committee\July 9, 1996 Page I of 6
