AEC's Optional meter reading service shall include <br />meter reading for purposes of billing, new services, transfers, verification and investigation. <br />AEC shall not be required to provide meter reading service if there is any danger to the meter <br />reader or the meter is not accessible on the outside of the building. AEC's meter readers shall <br />not be required to enter a building. AEC must receive 24 hour notice to read a meter for a <br />customer transfer. <br /> <br /> The City shall maintain its remote meter reading system in good working condition and <br />will use its best efforts to repair any defective meter unit before the next meter reading cycle. If <br />the remote meter reading system does not function satisfactorily or is improperly installed, AEC <br />will not be required to read the meter. For new installations, AEC prefers that the remote pad be <br />located by the electric meter. <br /> <br /> (3) <br /> <br />following: <br /> <br />Collection Services. AEC's Optional Collection Services shall include the <br /> <br />(a) Postage and mailing of disconnect notices to customers who are <br /> delinquent by more than 60 days. <br /> <br />(b) Contacting and responding to customers concerning delinquent accounts. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Posting of customer's property with disconnect notices and/or notice of <br />adding past due balances to real property taxes. <br /> <br /> (i) Application of Collection Services Payments. <br /> <br />Payments received by AEC as a result of its Collection Service efforts shall be applied to the <br />customer's account using a priority rating system.
