I I i I i I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-10- RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MODIFICATION OF DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TAX INCREMENT ~FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 7 AND A TIF PLAN THEREFORE WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey ("City") has contemplated using tax increment financing CTIF") in orderi to facilitate development of certain property in the City (the "Development") pursuant to M.S. ;Sections 469.124 to 469.134 and Sections 469.174 to 469.179 (collectively, the "Acts"); and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to consider the modification of Development Diatrict No. 1 and the establishment of TIF. District No. 7 and to hold a public hearing thereon in accordance with the Acts; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: That the :City Adminisn'ator is authorized and directed to cause to be prepared a Development Program for the modified Development District No. 1 and the TIF Plan for TIF Disffict No. 7 in connection with the Development, and to ~fle a copy of such document~ in City Hall. o That the City Administrator is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publication in the City's Official newspaper setting a public hearing before the City Council on December 10, 1996, at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers on the Development Program and TIF Plan. The notica shall be published in the newspaper at least 10 but not more than 30 days prior to the public hearing, and shall include a map of the Development District and proposed TIF District. o That the Ci,'ty Administrator is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the TIF Plan to the County Board and School Board and to take all other actions necessary to bring the Development Program and TIF Plan before the City Council at the time of the public heating. The motion for th~ adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon Vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of October, 1996.
