We would at least have a buffer.

Mark Boos - There's a lot of trees in that area that can be moved.

Tom Gamec - YoU lose some but those on Garnet are big trees. Evergreens are about the best
buffers. On MSA;roads, there is no speed limit. Can the City set the limit?

Mr. Schroeder - The City can, to a certain extent.

Councilmember Zimmerman - They are pretty fussy about reducing speed.

Tom Gamec - I thought maybe if there was a park in the area, they would be okay with reducing
the speed.

Betty Olesen - I like the idea of the interpretative center and also the sledding area. Kids look for
areas to sled on.

Mark Boos - We believe we can make that happen.

Mr. Schroeder - Thank you for your time and interest. Feel free to give us a call. We will keep
you informed.

CLOSURE

The meeting closed at 8:15 p.m.
Respectfully fsubmitted;,

/ J~ Thieling '"7
(.~/Recording Secretary

City Administrator

Alpine Neighborhood Meeting/October 24,

1996

¢?
