Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen and Peterson. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers geyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor ~ardin and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to approve the increase in the <br />car allowance to $.~00 per month. <br /> <br />Motion carded. V~ting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen and Peterson. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers. ~eyer and Zimmerman. (Councilmember Beyer stated that she would like to go <br />on record as bem~g opposed to a car allowance and that she has always been opposed to car <br />allowances.) <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to accept the salary increase <br />presented for Mr. Schroeder. <br /> <br />Motion carried. (Councilmember Zimmerman voted opposed due to it <br />being a two-year aontract - not to the conlxact itself.) <br /> <br />Case #3: COnsider Alternative to Ramsey Resident Newsletter <br /> <br />Administrative Sorvices Manager Wake Smith reported that the City was approached about the <br />possibility of conimunicating with the residents through a newspaper called the Andover, Ham <br />Lake, Ramsey Tithes. She was under the impression that all the residents in the City already <br />receive this newspaper. The frequency would be monthly as opposed to the Ramsey Resident <br />being distributed t. even times a year. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to table this issue and bring it <br />back for further discussion to the next Finance Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Further discussiorl: Councilmember Beyer suggested that switching to this form of communicating <br />may be a major irfiprovement from what we have right now. <br /> <br />Motion carried..Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE 'INPUT <br /> <br />1) Update On Receptionist Position <br /> <br />Administrative S ~orvices Manager Wake Smith stated that the City received 93 applications for the <br />receptionist position.
