Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen and Peterson. Voting No: Councilmembers geyer and Zimmerman. Motion by Mayor ~ardin and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to approve the increase in the car allowance to $.~00 per month. Motion carded. (Councilmember Beyer stated that she would like to go on record as bem~g opposed to a car allowance and that she has always been opposed to car allowances.) Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to accept the salary increase presented for Mr. Schroeder. Motion carried. Motion by CounCilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to approve the City Administrator's cbntract, as amended, for 1996 through 1998. Motion carried. (Councilmember Zimmerman voted opposed due to it being a two-year aontract - not to the conlxact itself.) Case #3: COnsider Alternative to Ramsey Resident Newsletter Administrative Sorvices Manager Wake Smith reported that the City was approached about the possibility of conimunicating with the residents through a newspaper called the Andover, Ham Lake, Ramsey Tithes. She was under the impression that all the residents in the City already receive this newspaper. The frequency would be monthly as opposed to the Ramsey Resident being distributed t. even times a year. Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to table this issue and bring it back for further discussion to the next Finance Committee meeting. Further discussiorl: Councilmember Beyer suggested that switching to this form of communicating may be a major irfiprovement from what we have right now. Motion carried..Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. COMMITTEE 'INPUT 1) Update On Receptionist Position Administrative S ~orvices Manager Wake Smith stated that the City received 93 applications for the receptionist position.
