Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Off-Site Advertising Sign; Case of <br />]t01m's Super Bowl, Inc. <br /> <br />Tim Holm of Holm's Super Bowl, Inc. explained that he has renovated the building since taking <br />ownership. He explained that Holm's Super Bowl, Inc. is in a nice area of Ramsey, and he is working <br />to upgrade the bfisiness image. Mr. Holm explained that Holm's Super Bowl, Inc. needed high <br />exposure to attract new customers. <br /> <br />Commissioner JenSen pointed out the location of current signs, including the one located on Riverdale <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that the bowling alley is located on Lot 1. She stated that City <br />Staff appreciated ~he efforts that the applicant has put into the property. Ms. Frolik explained that <br />the Dubats property has an 84 foot sign and a 24 foot sign, and City Code allows one freestanding <br />sign not to exceed 100 square feet on each commercial parcel. Ms. Frolik pointed out that the <br />proposed sign would be a third sign on this parcel, totaling 180 square feet. Ms. Frolik cautioned the <br />Planning CommisSion that this would be a precedent setting decision. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden asked what the other signs were advertising. Ms. Frolik stated that the other <br />two signs were advertisements for the Dubats Building and the occupants of the building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ho~and questioned ifHolm's Super Bowl, Inc. could be incorporated into the existing <br />Dubat's signs.
