Mr. Sc~hroeder reported that when a new business comes in on Highway #10, we do look at wh~xe the frontage mad would be and set aside an area to provide for it. He stated that he hasitalked to some businesses about getting frontage roads. There are no agreements as yet bu[ it has been discussed in the recent past. Entra~c. e signs were discussed as well as funding for them from the Economic Development Company. Also discussed was uniformity of the business/'mdustrial devek~pment signs and whether or not the businesses would be in favor of that. One of the ideas Was for signs showing what businesses are located in the industrial parks. Coun~Imember Zimmem-am inquired about the feasibility of a motel being located on HighWay #10. Mayo~ Hardin stated that generally a motel chain would do the marketing to determine the feasibility of such. CounQlmember Beyer suggested that one of the businesses needed in Ramsey is a good fami!y~restattrant. DiscuSsion ensued relating to getting major businesses to locate in Ramsey. It was stated that th& most the City can do at this point is to "let them know we are here" and to "include key statistics they may be looking for". DiscuSsion also ensued pertaining to standards and criteria for appointment and re- appoMtment to a commission. On de~elopment, Chairperson Wagner announced that the City Council has done a great job with the development of and buying of property. The EDC applauds Council's efforts and hc~es the Council remains proactive. Mayor Hardin thanked the EDC for their time and effort also. ADJOURNMENT Consegsus was to adjourn the meeting.
