Case # 1 <br /> <br />SPECIAL PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION WORKSHOP <br /> <br />DISCUSS COMMISSION APPOINTMENT PROCESS <br />By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you are awtu'e, at the February Joint City Council and Park and Recreation Commission <br />meeting, participants agreed that, over the course of the next 30-60 days, several issues would be <br />examined. TheJ, include: <br /> <br /> · Should the number of seats on the Commission be increased from seven to nine <br /> · What qualifications should be standard for all Commissions <br /> · What unique qualifications are desired for the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> · l~Iow should "special interests" be factored into the above <br /> · Other <br /> <br />Linda Waite smith, Administrative Services Manager for the City of Ramsey, will be present to <br />lead the discussion. Fifteen minutes are allowed for the special workshop. It is expected that a <br />synopsis of ttiis Commission's consensus and the Planning and Economic Development <br />Commissions' }:onsensus will be brought back to the respective Commissions prior to a <br />recommendatio/i to City Council.
