FROM: P~sons Interested in Ramsey's Park and Outdoor Recreation Development Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor ' ~/~9y~-- Lawful Gambling Improvement Program Enclosed is the City of Ramsey's Park and Recreation Lawful Gambling Fund Improvement Program. Over tlte last year, the Park and Recreation Commission and City Staff, with the support of City Council} conceptualized and developed the program to provide park development opportunities ou~ide of the normally large scale Capital Improvements Program and to address special park development requests. The City expects to match about $3,000 in cash to an equal amount or more (~f labor or cash from sources outside of the regular process. The only expendi..[,ures from this fund so far were the purchase of spring riders for a neighborhood park. The match ~in this case was trash pick-up within that park area by adjoining residents. The Commission exp~ts to fund more than one project each year, beginning in 1995. Application can be made any timelprior to January 13, 1995. At fa'st glance, the application may seem formidable in the enormity of the detail it requests; however, the majprity of information contained is necessary to ensure that the projects proposed are those with a likelihood of being funded. The application encourages interested persons to contact an individual listed in the application early to discuss their idea.
