Autumn Heights Year Central p_ark Improvements 1996 County ROad #83 Trail 1997 Central park Improvements 1998 $105,000 - LFT $ 80,000 - LFT $ 80,000 - LFT $ 265,000 P-2 - Sunfish Lake District Flintwood Terrace Playground. West of Dysprosium Street, off of 142nd Avenue, will be the site for this $~2,000 improvement consisting primarily of play equipment. It's projected that the magnitude of~e playground will be similar to Emerald Pond Park's. All the residents in the effected area werd invited to a neighborhood meeting to discuss the expenditure and what might be in the park. Thosb comments will be used when selecting the play equipment. Elementary School Replacement. As a result of the grading and site improvements for the Ramsey Elemen ~t,~ry School expansion, both rinks were demolished. The rinks are intended to be replaced in the fag, of 1995 for the 1995/1996 skating season. The School District has agreed to fund the replacement of one rink with the City replacing the other. The City's half (project at $10,000) is inter~ded to be funded by Park Trust fund interest earnings, as the rinks supply recreation to manj~ users outside of the Sunfish Lake district. Emerald Pond l~ark Phase II. Emerald Pond Park has received $112,000 in improvements to date. Approxim~ely $106,000 is proposed for Phase II or for other improvements in the area. Additional landscl~ping is needed for the park, as well as irrigation and possibly a larger shelter [ , near the ballfield.~Res~dents have also requested a basketball standard be placed at the end of the parking lot. AnOther improvement that could be considered for this district may be a short boardwalk through Hunters Hill Park to Chestnut Hills 5th Addition. The County Roa~d #116 Trail is scheduled to be completed this year with $113,244 in Federal Transportation dollars and approximately $36,000 set aside from Ramsey in 1994 for a cash match and also a contribOtion from the City of Anoka. The trail will connect Anoka Senior High School and the Ramsey l~lementary School via some existing segments in Anoka and Ramsey's urban areas. Much of~,the planning is completed for the project. Remaining is engineering/plan preparation, then! bids will be let and contractors will construct the path. The lighting and landscaping may be scaled back from that originally proposed. A Sunfish Lake iPicnic Area and/or Alpine Park connections are projected to be needed in 1998 to fulfill neighborhood park needs and access resulting from development in this area. The residential develolbment would supply the district (s) park trust fund.
