Summary Report <br />Mississippi West Re~onal Park <br /> <br /> The inclusion 0fMississippi West Regional Park into the Metropolitan Recreation Open Space <br />System will bring to a:,elose the need to include Rum River South Park in the regional system. The <br />following consideratid~as are cited: <br /> <br /> A. Mississippi~ West Regional Park and Rum River Central Regional Park will adequately provide <br />regional recreational 6~0pormnities that were proposed for Rum River South Regional Park. <br /> <br /> B. Rum River iCentral Regional Park provides a similar natural resource base as Rum River South <br />Regional Park. <br /> <br /> C. The City ogAnoka council unanimously approved a request on December 2, 1991 for Rum <br />River South Regional .Park (North Park) to remove its regional park designation. The North Park is <br />proposed to become a ~planned unit development with land set aside for natural resource preservation and <br />city park use. <br /> <br /> <br />
