Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos recommended that the Park and Recreation Commission invite the City Cou,~cil on a tour at their convenience. Commissioner DroegemueIler left at 7:20 p.m. Commissioner Osttum recommended sending invitations for a tour with lunch. Vice Chair Johns explained that the tour should be held in September. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that at the next meeting h~ will pass out invitations. Commissioner Asfahl recommended the tour be held at their next Park and Recreation Commission meeting. Vice Chair Johns explained that depended on the Park and Rex~r~ cation Commission agenda. Commissioner Ostrum stated that the tour should be a social event, separate from the meeting. Parks/Utilities Supervisor explained that he would invite the City Council at xheir meeting on Tuesday. COMMISSION INPUT Mr. Osboum asked if there were any plans regarding the condition of the ground cover at Solstice Park. Parks/Utilitie~ Supervisor Boos explained that they will be reseeding, and fertilizing this Fall. He added that they!had aerated yesterday. Mr. Osbourn explair~ed he was served title summons from the resident behind him. He asked if there are any plans for that property. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that any plan would come before the Park and kecreation Commission. He added that he did not foresee the Scotch Pines being removed. Mr. Osbourn stated he would like to see more park and a ballfield. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that the~e may be space for a basketball court. He stated that he would look into the financing for a blacktop pad for basketball after the other items were completed. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos informed the Park and Recreation Commission of park improvements status at this time. Commissioner Asfahl stated that she has be experiencing problems regarding residents mowing City property. Commissioner LaMere expressed concern regarding curb cuts and access to the parks and trails. Parks/Utilities Suporvisor Boos explained that there is no development now without curb cuts. Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to direct Staff.to place curb cuts in Solstic, Park and the trail by Commissioner LaMere's house. Motion carded.
