Absen~t: Mayor Hardin. <br /> <br />Case #4: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Consider: Budget Amendment to Replace One and Add One Preliminary <br /> Breath Testers (Alco-Sensors) <br /> <br />Finance Officer H~art stated that the Finance Committee recommended a budget amendment to <br />purchase two prelinfinary breath testers for the Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion by Coun~ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution #96-0~-173 authorizing Budget Amendment Allocating $700 for the Purchase of Two <br />Preliminary Breath Testers (Alto-Sensors) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Mayor Hardin. <br /> <br />2) Request ~o Enter a Contract for Police Records Retention Services <br /> <br />Finance Officer H~art stated that the Finance Committee heard a case requesting participation for <br />professional servi(3es for records retention. <br /> <br />Motion by Counci'imember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />#96-07-174 authoi'izing budget amendment allocating $2,900 from the Council Contingency for <br />the purchase of Po!ice Department Records Management Services. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absen~t: Mayor Hardin. <br /> <br />4) Schedule', StafffCouncil Finance Committee Work Session(s) on the <br /> Proposed; 1997/1998 General Fund Operating Budget <br /> <br /> Consensus wits to schedule budget work sessions for Monday, August 5, 1996, from 5:00 p.m. to <br /> 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 8, 1996, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson announced that these sessions are open to the public and that it is during <br />these meetings tha} City Council and staff will try to detem~ine needs and levels of service.
