Commissioner D~mer pointed out the petroleum drainage issue. Mr. Jankowski explained that a <br />condition of the site ~lan approval was a drainage plan to include a sextiment skimming pond for discharge <br />into the storm sew~. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deomer stated there was no need for a sidewalk on the East side of the intersection, <br />because there was nq cross walk on the highway. Mr. Jankowsld stated there would be a sidewalk on at <br />least one side. Cort~ssioner Deemer stated that by eliminating the sidewalk on the East side, it would <br />discourage pedestri .~m traffic from crossing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holl~d asked what the time line was for the project. Mr. Zieser stated they would like to <br />have the project un~rway this November, and they were starting demolition of the property next week. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen asked what type of landscaping was planned. Mr. Zieser replied the landscaping <br />would consist mainl~t of grass with some shrubs. Ms. Frolik explained there <br /> Was <br /> no <br /> $creenillg <br /> required <br />due to the small lot ~etween the residential area on the south side of Riverdale and this lot. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deem~ asked about the sign height limits. Ms. Frolik explained the sign height limitation <br />was 25 feet, and a sel~arate permit would be necessary for the signage. Mr. Zieser asked if the 100 square <br />feet included the re, er board. MS. Frolik stated the 100 square feet does have to include the reader <br />board. Commissioner Deemer stated the sign was too close to the street, due to a 50 foot limitation. MS. <br />Frolik added that a i2 foot vertical clearance was also necessary on that intersection.. <br /> <br />Motion by Commis.~ioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that City <br />Council approve the p. ro.posed site plan contingent on the City Engineer's letter and tonight's discussion. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Ms. Frolik stated that she had seen a letter from the DNR with <br />their recommendatid~ns to resolve the situation. Mr. Jankowski stated that they are also trying to get <br />drainage from their ba~kyard into the river and has requested to put in a culvert. MS.
