PUBLIC HEARING <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Plalaning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January 2, 1996 at the <br />Ramsey Municil~al Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a prol~osed amendment to Chapter 9 of City Code pertaining to storage of commercial <br />vehicles in residential districts. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Chairperson BaW~den called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATI~ON <br /> <br />Zoning Administ[ator Frolik stated that input on this matter will be received at tonight's public <br />hearing and at a ~mblic hearing scheduled for January 10, 1996. She disu'ibuted the proposed <br />ordinance amending Sections 9.02 and 9.11 of the Ramsey City Code to the Planning Commission <br />and copies were ~.r~aade available to the public in attendance. <br /> <br />Chairperson Baw~len explained the reason for the second hearing is to allow for adequate time of <br />advertising the p~blic hearing. <br /> <br />Zoning Adminis,trator advised that if the Planning Commission doesn't make any substantial <br />changes, the progosed amendment can be forwarded to City Council on the fourth Tuesday of <br />January for its adbption. Otherwise, if there are substantial changes, it will have to come back to <br />the Planning Co ~_~ission. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jim Connolly, 161>~35 Kamacite Street N.W. - wanted to know what was being controlled with this <br />ordinance. He im luired whether this was for the protection of the roads or the vehicles parked on <br />the property. He ~tated there was no mention of gross weight or license identification. <br /> <br />Chairperson Baw~ten stated that those answers could be found in the document. <br /> <br />Mr. Connolly, noting this refers to anything commercial, inquired whether it included the used car <br />salesman driving One of his cars home. <br /> <br />Commissioner Degmer responded that if the car was identifiable, it would fall under the jurisdiction <br />of this ordinance.; <br /> <br />l~ublic Hearing/Planning Commission/January 2, 1996 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
