It is declared unlawful for any person to violate any of the tee'ms and provisions of this section. Violation thereof shall be a misdemeanor, each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. In the event of a violation or a threatened violation of this section. Ramsey or the Commissioner of Natural Resources, in addition to other remedies, may institute appropriate actions or proceedings to prevent, restrain, or abate such violations or threatened violations. 2 Any taxpayer or taxpayers of Ramqey may institute mandamas proceedings in the District Court to compel specific performance by the proper official or officials of any duty required by this section. It is the intent and effect of Ordinance ~96-.. to amend Ramsey City Code Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision of Land), Section 9.21 (Environmental Protection) and Sect/on 9.23 (Scenic River) to amend the shoreland management regulations to comply with revised Smtewide Standards for "Management of Shoreland Areas". SECTION 4. EFFECTI'VE DATE The effective date of this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City Charter Section 5.07.
