Knowle4:tge and background, realistic outlook about the future growth of Ramsey. <br />Also, varie~ty of lifestyles to cover the greatest needs or wants of the community. <br /> 3. Community involvement. Commitment and interest in serving. <br />4. Commissioners should be good listeners, capable of making good decisions, <br />knowledgeable, good thinkers and open minded. They need to be aware of the desires of <br />community, members. <br /> <br />4. What 'do you think is the optimum number of commissioners on your <br />commission? <br /> <br />P&R: <br />1. Depends~ on how the seats are labeled or selected. Don't like idea of seats assigned to <br />particular groups. <br />2. The mo,re people there are, the longer the meetings will be so everyone can have a <br />chance to speak. <br />3. The advantages of more seats: more opportunity for people in the community to serve <br />and more re, presentation of community interests. <br />4. As long as it's an odd number, probably doesn't matter. <br />5. Seven - first choice; nine - second choice (may be too many to get work done) <br /> <br />Planning: <br />1. Nine. <br />2. Five. <br /> <br />EDC: <br />1. Depends on the actual work to be done. 3 - 5 <br />2. Seven or five people. The EDC recently went from nine to seven members and I think <br />that the objectives could be met with 5. <br />3. Seven <br />4.6-8 <br />5.7 is plenty; 9 was too many <br /> <br />Charter: <br />1.8 plus chair. <br />2.6-8 <br />3.8 <br />4. The number is just right, any more would make it difficult for making decisions. <br /> <br />5. Do you think there should be term limits for commissioners? <br /> <br />P&R: <br />1. Not unlessithere are term limits for Councilmembers. <br />2. Every Councilmember should be a commissioner first so they know what it's like. <br /> <br /> <br />
