Councilmembe,t introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />~ RESOLUTION #95-01-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 3/4 TON 4x4 TRUCK <br />WITH SNOW PLOW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of January 24, 1995, staff <br />presented a request for the purchase of one 3/4 ton 4X4 truck with snow plow, as a replacement <br />for existing veh!cle #614; and <br /> <br /> WHER.EAS, included in the 1995 Adopted Enterprise Fund Budgets was the purchase of <br />one 3/4 ton 4X4truck with snow plow, as a replacement for existing vehicle #614 at a total price <br />of $22,000.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the purchase of the truck through the Hennepin <br />County Purchasing Cooperative meets all statutory bidding requirements; and <br /> WHER~EAS, Superior Ford was awarded the contract for supplying the 1995 light trucks <br />at a price of $17~107.00 plus sales tax and license; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Superior Ford was awarded the contract for supplying the snow plow <br />equipment but s~iid equipment does not meet the City's specifications; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, quotes for snow plow equipment were received and Crysteel can provide an <br />8' 2" snow plow"which meets the Cit3,'s specifications at a price of $3,550.00 plus sales tax; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the sum of $10,090.00 is available in the accumulated depreciation account <br />in the Enterprise Funds and was taken into consideration in the 1995 Adopted Enterprise Fund <br />Budgets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved~ this recommendation and hereby <br />recommends thg! Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed in <br />this resolution. ~ <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY,~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) That the Ramsey CiD, Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of one 3/4 ton 4X4 <br /> truck from Superior Ford at a price of $17,107.00 plus sales tax and license. <br /> <br />2) That the Ran'racy City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of one 8' 2" snow plow from <br /> CD, steel for $3.550.00 plus sales tax. <br /> <br />The motion for ~,he adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the followin~ voted aga/nst the same: ' .- <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
