Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br /> Resolution ~t95-01-030 authorizing amendment to the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget <br /> for the purchase of one 3,000 gallon fire service drop tank for the Fire Department. <br /> <br /> Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen and <br /> ~mmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hart stated that the Finance Committee also discussed the maintenance contract <br /> renewal for the civil defense siren system. It appears that Doradus Corporation has the <br /> SOftware for testing and evaluating the systems, exclusively. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve the <br /> contract with Doradus Corporation for 1995 maintenance of civil defense siren <br /> reCeiver/decoders. <br /> <br /> Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beahen and <br /> ~eterson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberBeyer. <br />Rs. Hart staied that the City Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shah be <br />established annually by resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Counciknember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~/95-01-031 approving the City of Ramsey's 1996 Budget Calendar. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Counciknembers Beahen, Zimmerrnan and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that the Finance Committee also discussed insurance coverage for the <br />City. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />a~pprove retainage of insurance coverage with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust and related carders utilizing Option II for a premium amount of $84,859. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: COuncilmemberBeyer. <br />Case ~9: Tat Forfeit ProPerties <br /> <br />Gity Administrator Schroeder stated that every year, Anoka County gives notice to the City <br />o~f Ramsey of tax forfeit properties. This year there are three such parcels. The fn'st parcel <br />ig 12 ac'res which could be acquired for open space and drainage. The second parcel is 90 <br />tO 95% wet and Could be acquired for open space and drainage. The third parcel is just east <br />Of Waco Street N.W. and was intended to be deeded to the City but it was not recorded; it's <br />mpaved roadway. He reminded Council that the City is not relegated to paying market <br />~alue for these properties ff they are used for open space and drainage. The fn'st parcel <br />C°uld be pan of a furore extension of County Road #116. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilrnember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to direct <br />~ to acquire the tax forfeit properties for open space and drainage. <br /> <br />~otion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman and <br />Beahen. Voting No: None.
